As a Privacy Manager at Code for America, I helped the organization achieve its mission of making government work for the people who need it most by ensuring compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other privacy regulations. I collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and implement privacy policies, procedures, and best practices, and to conduct privacy impact assessments and audits. I also supported the education and awareness of privacy rights and responsibilities among staff, volunteers, and partners. Before joining Code for America, I was a Data Privacy Consultant at Logic20/20, Inc., where I advised clients from various industries on how to comply with the evolving privacy landscape and mitigate privacy risks. I also worked as a Senior Compliance Analyst at Campaign Monitor by Marigold, a leading email marketing platform, where I monitored and enforced compliance with global privacy laws and standards and handled data breach notifications and investigations. I have a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and a BA in Political Science and Government from The City College of New York. I have developed strong skills in privacy regulations, compliance management, privacy impact assessments, data breach response, privacy training, and stakeholder engagement. I am passionate about using my legal and analytical expertise to protect the privacy and security of data and to promote the values of transparency, accountability, and fairness.
