Regional Trainer
Charlotte, North Carolina
*After moving to Charlotte, NC and being at a crossroads, I joined The Home Depot in 1994, quite honestly for the paycheck. Very soon after however, I caught the fire and lived the "Improve Everything We Touch" mantra. My attitude and energy were a good fit. I enjoyed an 18 year career at The Depot, in several different roles. Some highlights: *Associate Development Supervisor / HR Generalist After a company reorganization, (Regional Trainer position eliminated company wide), I assumed this new role as in-store HR Supervisor, responsible for staffing, hiring, onboarding, training, recognition, associate relations, and scheduling. *Regional Master Trainer Promoted to deliver associate and field leadership training for 135 stores throughout 6-state /13 Market /South Atlantic Region with focus on Millwork (doors, windows, garage doors, etc…). Led this hands-on training.*Team Depot – District Captain Concurrent with District Trainer role, served as The Home Depot community outreach “Goodwill Ambassador.” Spearheaded company sponsored “Giving Back” volunteer programming for Charlotte, NC. Secured and facilitated over $150,000 HD Foundation grant monies for community partners as well as negotiated vendor donations for renovation, remodeling, painting, and landscaping projects at dozens of local nonprofit organizations. Dramatically improved quality of life for thousands of underprivileged community members in Greater Charlotte Area. *District Trainer - Charlotte Market High energy, positive attitude and store operations knowledge led to my selection for this newly formed role as Charlotte store count grew from 6 to 16. Organized and facilitated Department Supervisor Training which resulted in a pool of strong emerging leaders. MC at Regional events hosted by RVP. Led New Hire Orientation training for the District, for 10 years.*Sales Associate – Lumber, Hardware, Call Center
