Deployments have predominantly been on the Azure cloud platform.

Solution design and consultancy on a bespoke banking platform with a small team of technical consultants.This included investigation and analysis of the proposed banking platform, due diligence of the existing retail systems and how they could be incorporated into the platform, as well as evaluation of proposed third party service providers.The engagement concluded with the development of a proof of concept system based on Java and Kafka with a mobile application front end and an Alexa integration.

Working as Technical Lead while the company was searching for someone to fill the role permanently. Work involved leading the development of the main product as well as on new upcoming products using technologies such as Spring Boot deployed on AWS using Cloud Formation.

While working for Isomorphic I've been involved in various activities including general product support, new feature development as well as onsite consultancy for clients such as Nasdaq and Primark.

As I started at Trader Media Group I dove straight into a project that was meant to give car dealers a way of doing a valuation lookup on a used vehicle by looking for similar cars on autotrader.co.uk as well as checking with Experian (third party supplier of data about vehicles) what status a specific vehicle had such as if it has been stolen or had bad finance.Later on I was made technical lead on a project to extend an existing tool used by dealers to manage their cars they had for sale to record successful sales and produce invoices. This project involved heavy database design as well as some big challenges integrating with legacy software.After that I stayed on as technical lead but moved on to another project to work on a solution to replace the legacy management tool dealers use. That project involved making decisions about technology choices as well as motivating and leading the other developers on the team. The project was successfully delivered on time and at good quality with minimal technical debt.I also worked on a project to replace the whole web based portal that dealers use to access products within Trader Media Group to ultimately support them in selling cars and running their business. This was a one page Javascript application using modern web development techniques.

Being a part of the internet team I was responsible for the code that ran the clients websites and internal products made by the team. During my two years and a bit at CDL I also manage to accumulate about a years worth of agile DSDM experience.During my time at CDL I was personally in charge of one project which was an internal message auditing system which was meant to take snapshots of requests coming from clients websites as they passed through the internal systems to reach the backend. These snapshots would then be able to provide information about how the data had changed as it came in to the system and as it was going back out to the end user.Overall I spent a lot of time working with Java, Javascript, SOAP web services, JSPs and servlets.

I developed web based applications and back end services using Java and JSP, together with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML. These were then connected to a platform which was used for sending out large amounts of messages through channels such as SMS, MMS, fax, email and voice. I also developed automated telephone answering systems using the scripting language HotVoice. Through this I have gained knowledge about mobile operators, SMS/MMS centres and the SMPP protocol, while also increasing my general programming skills. I have been working both independently and in problem solving teams. I have also developed my personal skills by handling customer support and helping out with various administrative duties in the office such as billing.Projects:LINK Campaign - This project was designed to become a product where customers could login and set up their own keywords for a text message service. My role on this project was to design and develop the user interface and certain parts of the programming interface towards the server. Everything was written using Java, JSP, XML, Struts and JServer.LINK Send – This project wasn’t being used at the time I was appointed because of the lack in functionality. My job was to update it to newer standards as well as fill out all the missing functions. The product itself allows customers to login and create fax, email, SMS, and voice sending’s using a wizard I designed. I renovated the whole project which is now implemented. Improvements are being made on a regular basis. My latest work on this includes WYSIWYG editor for emails, Flash SMS and WAP Push functionality.
