Summary – The function of this role is to provide estimates and quotations to the UK’s leading national building companies for prospective new-build kitchen installations, in addition to providing support and quotations for post-fit extras on live projects throughout the UK. Key Responsibilities include:• Estimating team for Barratt, Vistry, St Modwen & Churchill clients—including management of workload and responsibility for achieving KPI’s.• Working alongside Business Development Managers and Design team to interpret architect kitchen plans in order to achieve customer requirements. • Interacting with clients via telephone and e-mail, providing details relating to quotes, drawings, commercial instructions and existing orders.• Working with and maintaining up to date quotation databases for key national account holders.

Working in a range of schools has provided me with excellent opportunities to test my skills in new and varied environments whilst developing my ability to adapt quickly to new situations and expectations. I have thoroughly enjoyed thinking on my feet and approaching the different challenges brought about by schools, policies, procedures and expectations whilst providing experience and expertise to the existing staff in school.

Following ten successful years at Monk Fryston, I was keen to move settings in order to test and further develop my skills in a different environment whilst gaining varied experience for future career options. This allowed me to assess the effectiveness of a new organisation and implement a number of strategies and procedures from my previous organisation to improve the structure and success of another whilst also identifying new learning and development opportunities for my own good practice. Key achievements • Increased participation in school competitive sport by over 40%, raising standards and performance to achieve the Gold School Games Mark (previously Bronze).• Mentored, supported and assessed Teaching Students and Newly Qualified Teachers against Teacher standards framework.• Re-developed science curriculum and ethos through practical learning opportunities leading to increased standards (attainment up 25%) and participation throughout school.

Monk Fryston provided a fantastic start to my career. It allowed me to develop effective teaching skills, leadership skills and gave me a number of career development opportunities during my time there. It was where I first learned to tailor my approach to individuals’ requirements, and as I became more senior, it gave me the opportunity to mentor and develop both trainee and recently qualified colleagues who were new to the profession. I gained responsibility for school IT, sports and competition, annual productions and fundraising.Key achievements• Mentored, supported and assessed Teaching Students and Newly Qualified Teachers against Teacher standards framework. (100% pass rate)• Implemented new software to improve efficiency. This included identifying the best value solution to maximize the use of tight budgets, delivery of a full staff training program, and ongoing review and maintenance of the system.• Proactively worked with the school council, parents and external contractors to lead fundraising and develop projects in school such as: installation of modern AV equipment in school hall, new IT equipment for learning needs (iPads, Chromebooks) and developing unused land in school to create a children’s ‘reflective area’.
