Specialized in religious education for children, teens, and adults. Other duties included preaching, rites of passage, pastoral care, administration, etc. Behind-the-scenes work in anti-racism helped move children's programs to increase non-white enrollment to 30% of total. Worked with congregation on healing from trauma of past clergy misconduct. During COVID lockdown, was a key player in the transition to online worship services and online classes for all ages.

Preached and led worship. Worked with worship committee to create excellent Sunday morning worship. Worked with lay leaders to promote growth in membership, financial resources, spiritual depth. Increased annual pledges by ten percent. Increased attendance at Sunday worship services 25% over three years. Worked with lay leaders to increase visibility of church (e.g., increased traffic at church Web site six-fold, installed new outdoor signage). Worked with office staff to streamline office procedures and increase office productivity. Leadership in addressing deferred maintenance, e.g., $170,000 of deferred maintenance addressed in 2007.

As an interim minister, carried out the ordinary duties of ministry. Helped the congregation in understanding and healing from its past; worked to rebuild the infrastructure of the congregation. Worked with church leadership on stewardship. Worked with senior minister and lay leaders to integrate children, youth, and their families more fully into the life of the congregation. Supported adult learning programs. Helped lay leaders discern the kind of teaching ministry they want for this congregation.
