I currently serve on the board of several healthcare-related companies where I provide insight and guidance on corporate direction and strategy.

Provista is a leader in the supply chain industry. The company provides supply chain solutions for customers in healthcare, education, hospitality and corporate markets. With extensive product coverage and billions in purchasing power, Provista connects customers to the best contracts from the most prominent suppliers in the nation.In addition to contracts, Provista provides customized purchasing solutions including Data and Analytics, Contract Implementation, Management Tools, Savings Programs, Business Reviews and Reporting. As President and CEO of Provista, I worked closely with the management team to establish the strategic direction and growth initiatives of the company. Under my leadership, Provista evolved into an innovative industry leader focused on unparalleled service and strong customer relationships. During my tenure, Provista experienced exceptional growth through strategic acquisitions and customer expansion which resulted in a 37.4% internal rate of return and increased shareholder value of nearly 500%.

Viant, now part of MultiPlan, Inc., provided healthcare cost management solutions for commercial, government, workers’ compensation, auto, property and casualty markets. Viant served the nation’s largest health insurance companies, third party administrators, government agencies and employers. The company provided healthcare payment solutions, integrated network and contract management, specialized cost containment strategies and post payment recovery services focused on timely, accurate and equitable payment for providers, payers and patients. As CEO and Board Member, I worked with the management team to establish Viant as a stand-alone company from the successful spin-off of an operating division of Concentra, Inc. Under my leadership, Viant became a market leader as an independent preferred provider organization (PPO) and healthcare cost management company. During my tenure as CEO, Viant realized significant growth in its customer base and market share which substantially increased shareholder value. Viant’s earnings grew over 50% and shareholder value increased 275%. Viant was sold to Multiplan in 2010.

Concentra is a national healthcare company focused on improving America’s health, one patient at a time. Through its affiliated clinicians, the company provides occupational medicine, urgent care, physical therapy, and wellness services from over 500 medical centers in 44 states. In addition to these locations, Concentra serves employers by providing a broad range of health services through the operation of over 200 worksite medical facilities. As Chairman, I collaborated with the Board of Directors and the Concentra management team to establish and execute the strategic direction of the company. I worked closely with management on a comprehensive cost reduction plan and productivity initiatives to achieve consistent profitability during an economic recession. I concluded my responsibilities as Chairman at Concentra Inc. with the sale of the company to Humana in 2010.

As President, CEO and Board Member, I guided Concentra through strategic growth initiatives and selective acquisitions to become a national company with three operating divisions generating $1.3 billion in revenues. In addition, I was responsible for completing multiple refinancing transactions and sales or spin-offs of several business units. During my tenure, Concentra's workers’ compensation managed care business was sold to Coventry Healthcare, and Viant was established from Concentra’s health benefits cost management business in 2007.

As President, I led operations and sales as the company grew from a $15 million company operating in two states to a $620 million national organization providing multiple services to employers and payers of all sizes. I collaborated with management to build the operations, sales and technology infrastructure necessary to efficiently and effectively manage rapid growth. As a result, the company became recognized as the market leading provider of occupational healthcare services.

Medical Care International, Inc. was the nation's largest operator of free-standing surgical centers. Initially, I served as Corporate Controller. Subsequently, I transitioned into operations and served as Senior Vice President and Divisional Director responsible for growing and managing ambulatory surgery centers across multiple states.

KPMG is one of the largest professional services companies in the world and one of the Big Four auditors. I performed audit services as an accountant at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co (KPMG) and eventually specialized in healthcare and insurance services.
