If necessary finding solutions to ensure things work better, through communication and negotiation, aiming to always build rapport and trust using appropriate and compliant, always treating the client fairly. For a 12 month period I covered maternity leave for a claims management position, assessing adverse and disbursement legal claims, working closely with cost lawyers and solicitor specialists. Aim was to achieve fair results for valid claims, ensuring accurate reserving, saving on costs wherever possible, whilst being aware of mis-representation and fraudulent issues.

Maintaining and creating external and internal relationships with Intermediaries, Solicitors, Claim Management Groups and Underwriters.Close control of commission, financial credit control measures audits and premium challenges.Consideration of claims and the effects of non-co-operation and/or fraud.Support team members when necessary

Managing private individual and group expatriate healthcare policies. Ensuring excellent service to ensure retention of schemes and maintain client expectations.Responsible for setting up new schemes, assisting with data input, renewal and new business processes.

Responsible for leading a team of 15 claims handlers of varying grades. Daily interaction with team and assessment of caseloads. Measuring performance, setting goals without sacrificing quality. Reviewing processes in accordance with best practice.

Personal accident, travel and legal expense claims handling. Responsible for leading a team of six people, setting daily goals/targets and measuring individual performance to ensure service standards are maintained with accurate assessment of genuine claims.Function relocation - Providing technical support to the new operation in Glasgow. Responsible for the operation of the claims department during part of the transition period and ensuring Service level Standards were maintained during transitional period.
