As a part of this role within the Communications Team, I work closely with the Sectoral Advocacy Team producing high-quality, consistent, recognisable and eye-catching resources and updating externally facing materials to align with and reflect the organisational branding. Among my responsibilities are:• Reviewing Sector Toolkit communications to ensure they align with new design andbranding guidelines and maintain consistency.• Reformatting Toolkit course slides to align with branding guidelines.• Creating graphics for use by the Sector Toolkits Team within Toolkit Courses.• Developing design templates which can be used by the Sector Toolkits Team (e.g.presentations and newsletters).• Assisting in developing engaging visual content for Sector events and campaigns

Extracurricularly, I am actively involved in a student mountaineering society at the university where I hold the position of a Merch Secretary on the committee. In this role, I am responsible for designing merchandise such as clothes, accessories and other visual materials, negotiating with suppliers, fundraising and general promotion of the club. This experience provides me with valuable hands-on experience in more tangible fashion design, branding upkeep and development, and furthers my collaborative and leadership abilities.

This project was a part of the University of York's "Design a Banner" competition for its York Award 25th-anniversary campaign, for which I designed digital and printable promotional materials. This project not only allowed me to contribute to a significant milestone for the university, but also showcased my ability to create compelling visual content for promotional purposes.My design entry was selected as a winning one and has been used by the university in the campaign's marketing materials, on their website and throughout event decorations for the in-person celebratory event and award ceremony.

In earlier years, my professional experience included working as a Front Office Administrator at a 5-star Marriott hotel. This experience polished my soft skills and taught me great problem-solving, attentiveness, empathy and exceptional customer service - key qualities that I bring to team environments. It allowed me to gain invaluable experience in interacting with high-profile clients and taught me to be adaptable. Oftentimes, we had to deal with difficult situations and take responsibility for making decisions to solve them, which taught me to think quickly on my feet and nurtured my confidence to fulfil the required role within different situations. I find these qualities to be vital for working on group projects.
