Designed and developed a lightweight data pipeline orchestrator in Go. Used the orchestrator to write workflows satisfying data engineering requirements for a project involving a number of major IBM clients. The orchestrator was responsible for continuously batching cross-client data, data process scheduling, automating cryptography, and pushing results back to clients.Automated the release process of the orchestrator through a robust CI/CD pipeline using Travis CI. Wrote a library of fakes to sustain high test coverage in an integration heavy application with dependencies on S3, IBM Key Protect, and SFTP clients.Hosted a number of S3 backed SFTP servers for different clients to upload ingestion data. Process required a modified open-source image (S3FS), which was configured using Docker Compose and hosted on an IBM Cloud VPC solution.Transformed locally executed ETL scripts to an automated cloud solution by re-adapting existing script code and hosting it on a serverless backend (OpenWhisk) using blob storage (COS/S3) for persisting data. Developed a CLI front-end for data scientists to manage data for the system.Migrated client applications, infrastructure, and data from managed solutions to an OpenShift cluster running IBM Cloud Pak for Data; gauged costs and benefits.Condensed multi-resource Kubernetes deployments into Helm charts for easier manifest configuration and management.Integrated OpenID auth for R web apps using IBM App ID, NGINX, and Vouch Proxy (open-source tool). Contributed to Vouch Proxy by developing a new email whitelisting feature.Used Cloud Foundry and the IBM Toolchain CI tool to build, containerize, and host existing web applications on a public endpoint.

Monitored, investigated, and resolved the health status of hundreds of virtual hosts networked across different subnets. Uptime of hosts was vital to teams across the globe involved in the development, testing and pipelining of Oracle Eloqua.Centralized Slack access to JIRA, TeamCity, Sensu, and in-house monitoring systems through a containerized Node.js Slack bot that interacted with their REST APIs.Adopted TDD approach for Slack bot development: wrote unit tests using Mocha & Chai and performed manual acceptance tests in staging environments to ensure the reliability of scheduled deployments through a CI/CD pipeline.Administrated and utilized tools including TeamCity, Sensu, ELK Stack, and Chef to maintain Microsoft IIS-based and Oracle WebLogic-based tech stacks in a VPC environment.
