At Blue Star, Inc, I was in charge of scheduling several crews for different projects at various stages of construction. I was responsible for completing these projects, which include medical, retail and institutional, on schedule and under budget. I monitored and enforced our company and OSHA safety policies. I maintained constant communication with the owners and architects. I was in charge of subcontractor buyout and scheduling. My position was also responsible for site visits, estimating and invoice approval for all the jobs that I oversee. I maintained a MIOSHA ten hour lead/asbestos awareness certification. I reported directly to the owner of the company.

At E. Gilbert & Sons I was in charge of construction projects in the fields of medical, institutional and retail ranging from $500,000 to $72 million. As a project manager I work closely with the architect and owner to develop a schedule for the project a maintainable budget. I possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and am also PC proficient. In this position I review construction documents and drawings for each new project prior to contractor award or field revisions. I prepare plan review comments for bid addendums as required. It is also my responsibility to maintain contractor relations and accountability. I am self directed, work well with others and possess good client manager skills.

While working for Wolgast, I handled projects from 1.2 to 12 million. These projects were remodeled and new build schools. Some of my job functions were, creating and maintaining project schedules through on-site scheduling and supervision of contractors. I also scheduled and ran weekly foreman and monthly progress meetings, present at these meetings were contractors and owner representatives. I have a through understanding of MIOSHA safety requirements, including a ten hour MIOSHA training, fall protection training and CPR training. I handled the preparation of daily and weekly reports, time sheets, safety logs and cost coding. I also enforced contractor provisions and ensured compliance with plans and specs, quality control procedures and standards. I was also the contact person for the owner representative and architect when any issues arose on the project.

At CFG I was responsible for the planning, scheduling, estimating and obtaining bids for the subcontractors on commercial buildings with an approximate budget of $750,000 to $1,270,000. It was essential for me to supervise the crews and to be sure that the projects were completed within the time frame and budget of the contract. I stayed in contact with my company and the company who had hired us to do the site, as to the status of the job. I filed numerous daily and weekly reports as to the cost, scheduling and the completion of the project. I have handled numerous projects including gas stations, restaurants and airport terminals. I have done rebuilds and also work that started from the ground up.

I established and maintained a company with an average of ten employees. My company handled mostly residential buildings from start to finish, although I also received contracts on a few commercial buildings. While running my business I handled many different aspects of business including obtaining all necessary permits, contracting subcontractors, handling payroll and all other necessary day to day operations. My goal was to be sure the project was completed on time and within budget.
