Promoted to lead a direct staff of 7 and a total staff of 5000 at 7 distribution centers in the 5-state Mountain Division, delivering product to 840 stores in 11 states with total revenues of $8BN. Report to SVP of Logistics. • Perishable Consolidation Initiative: Co-conceived a paradigm shift in the delivery of perishable products. Developed a business case, obtained top executive approval, and piloted daily consolidated delivery of perishable items, reducing daily truck stops by 30% while meeting increased demands of ecommerce and retail grocery business with 161 basis point increase in on-shelf availability. This new method increased single-stop loads by 265%, saving $40MM.• Created new logistics operations for 2 DCs in Arizona, enabling servicing of a new campus format store, a first of its kind distribution approach leveraging material movement through SuperCenter stores. Successful execution of this program enabled Walmart to engage a younger demographic in an underserved location, building brand loyalty. • Led teams in achievement of numerous corporate recognitions including “DC of the Year Award – Overall Operation Award” on 9 occasions, “DC Safety Award of the Year” and the “Helen Walton Award for Community Service” from 42 DCs nationwide.• Invited Guest Lecturer, Tennessee State University and The University of Nevada, speaking on the topic of Results Leadership. Also earned an individual Community Service Award and a Paul Harris Fellow Award for service in the Rotary.

Promoted to launch, from the ground up, a first-of-its kind specialized DC, supplying 90 stores with 10,000 SKUs of perishable products representing total revenues of $840MM. Won Perishable Distribution Center of the Year – 2005 and 2006.• Led another 3 new distribution center launches during tenure with Walmart, coordinating 5-month, multi-million startup budgets, on-time, on-budget completion of construction, permitting, contractors, staff recruitment, community and business partnerships to overcome citizen objections.
