Hi, I’m Darsh. I’m a mechanical engineer by heart, mind, and nerves. My curiosity about how things work has always driven me, starting with a water bottle rocket I built in high school. This passion led me to mechanical engineering, where I’ve focused on creating practical solutions. While in college, I have worked on a project of energy recovery for a regenerative braking system. Additionally, during my internship at Cosmos Engitech, I designed a hydraulic clamping/fixture table, which further fueled my passion for engineering.I would like to outline my professional journey, beginning with a focus on my key achievements- Extended vacuum pumping capacity and cut annual maintenance costs by $500 @GE Vernova.- Earned an Idea Generation Award @GE Vernova for designing a portable stand addressing EHS issues.- Designed a hydraulic clamping fixture, cutting labor costs by 45 hours per batch @Cosmos Engitech. At GE Vernova, I optimized equipment performance with design modifications and static/dynamic FEA simulations. I coordinated with vendors/technicians and departments to led a team in equipment maintenance and repairs, managed installation/commissioning projects, tracked maintenance metrics, and worked on a turnkey project; involves designing & construction of WTP.At Cosmos, I created 3D models and engineering drawings using Creo 4.0 and AutoCAD, developed comprehensive documentation; performed FEA and tolerance analysis to ensure design accuracy and durability to manufacture parts & their jigs/fixture. I also worked on design revisions to improve clamping and performance.Subject Knowledge - Thermal Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Manufacturing Technologies, Propulsion Systems, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.Industrial - CAD Modelling, GD&T, FEA, DFM, Materials selection and characterization, BOM Creation, PLM, Manufacturing Processes, KPI tracking, Kaizen, Six Sigma (Green), QMS ISO 9001:2015.Tools - SolidWorks, AutoCAD Mechanical, PTC Creo Parametric 4.0, LS-Dyna, Ansys, Matlab. If you'd like to brainstorm ideas or discuss about engineering, let’s connect! I'm also open to job opportunities and sharing insights. Feel free to reach out to me at pd.9112000@gmail.com or LinkedIn
