DESIGN QUALITY Engineer:• Design quality plans for satellite, cable, DSL STB, gateway products for product development in Agile or Waterfall methodologies and manufacturing that support customer requirements. Plans consist of ISO sampling plans, ALT, ORT, MTBF, OQC/OBA procedures and criteria.MTBF, RDT, OQC/OBA procedures and criteria.• Analysis of requirements and bug status using tools such as Jira, HPQC.• Early involvement from concept, design, manufacturing and field issues to address any quality issues found. Working with engineering to ensure DFMEA is completed for design phase, KPI collection in place for manufacturing, 8D completion for suppliers for relevant quality issues.• Risk Management• Stay current with latest technologies for connected home products such as WiFi, Zigbee, Zwave, Thread, Docsis.• Understand the QMS to help ensure processes are being followed throughout development as well as through internal audits for ISO certification.• Initiate or create 8D, CAR/PAR reports with suppliers or for customers.• Effective communication with core team, management, suppliers and customer facing to inform of risks to quality or to the business.

PRODUCT MANAGER• Responsible for P&L of the mechanical access systems product line. Perform product line analysis to determine actions needed to keep products financially feasible and current in the market. Actions include recommending productivity projects, renegotiating high cost components and/or developing new products.• Approve and manage special products on a quick turnaround to fulfill the special needs of the dealer, architect, or end user.• Initiate development of marketing materials such as brochures, launch letters, press releases, sales presentations and catalogs.• Conduct VOC activities with customers & sales teams for feedback on current products or to determine future product needs.
