As an Materials and Processes Technician, I was responsible for conducting rigorous testing on incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications before their release to the production areas. I completed my apprenticeship and emerged as the go-to electrician for new electrical installations and fault finding. Established a highly successful career in the British Army Reserves in 2007, having undergone comprehensive basic training at Wyvern Barracks in Exeter where I received extensive training in soldering skills, culminating in completion over a period of 10 weekends. This was promptly followed by achieving an advanced infantry skills accreditation after a 2-week intensive course at the Infantry Training Centre at Catterick, working alongside the regular Army.After successfully completing my training, I was deployed as a basic riflemen at 6th Battalion the Rifles, Gloucester. During my 5 years of service, I embraced the opportunity to take part in multiple training exercises across Europe, including France, Switzerland, and Cyprus.My exceptional performance earned me the privilege of completing my Junior NCO cadre, an achievement that saw me rapidly promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. As the team's senior figure, I was responsible for a 4-man fire team, serving as the second in command to an 8-man section.
