Edinburgh, North Bridge Refurbishment For Edinburgh Council

Building a hanging scaffold over Edinburgh Waverley station for Balfour Beattie. Massive job, a lot of health and safety requirements, working to advanced drawings and method statements. Hanging scaffold, Beam sections, Encapsulated Habitats for different trades, along with a lot of alterations.(welders, platers, engineers, joiners, blasters)

Working for one of Edinburgh’s largest firms on various sites across Scotland (mainly Edinburgh and Glasgow) erecting, dismantles and altering system scaffolds being used cuplock accompanied with tube and fitting on various large projects over Edinburgh and Glasgow. Working in squads, size varied depending on project.

Barrow-In-Furness, North Gas Terminal

Working on gas terminal for Centrica energy, allocated to a squad worked on various jobs around pipelines and large gas tanks. Abiding by different safety measures with it being a petrochemical site. Took part in building massive bird cage scaffolds in larger squads, and smaller crash decks etc over and between pipelines in smaller squads liaising with other trades making alterations as and when needed. Started at a small sized firm. from the yard to on the tools, building a variety of jobs (using cuplock & kwikstage) big and small for local companies. Throughout my time got a lot of 1 to 1 learning from foreman (years of oil and gas Industry experience) whilst learning tube and fit at college. Gained confidence in working with scaffolding safely and a good team player attitude. Working with kwikstage, cuplock & tube and fitting- houses chimneys, some smaller industrial site jobs.
