• Asset Geologist for Southern Lea Co. New Mexico• Built full-field development plan for Ghost Rider asset; surface development planning to well execution. Evaluated, planned and delivered a 40+ well and $200MM net capital program for Apache. Designed pilot well program with log suite, RSWC and Whole Core to provide supplemental data in asset evaluation.• Mapped Bone Spring and Wolfcamp section across Lea and parts of Eddy Co. Utilized petrophysical workflow to delineate landing zone(s) for each prospective interval. Provided geologic evaluation to assist reservoir engineers with multi-variate analysis of landing zones with offset competitor wells.• Oversee all state and federal lease sale activity in New Mexico. Provided monthly summary of tract nominations and competitor acquisitions. Proposed acquisition ideas to team to expand acreage position at reasonable entry cost.

Permian Improved Recovery Team• Built a 3D static model in Petrel to assist reservoir evaluation for CO2 flood optimization. Study was focused on Residual Oil Zone (ROZ) potential in Slaughter Field. Designed a 3-pattern program to test ROZ potential with a pilot well with core & logging suite to characterize reservoir and fluid properties.

Improved Recovery Team• Built a 3D static model in Petrel to assist reservoir evaluation for CO2 flood optimization for APA's Roberts Unit in Wasson Field. Evaluation led to optimizing pattern conformance with additional perfs and proposed infill wells; first batch of conformance work yielded average +18 BOPD uplift per well. Also identified bypassed pay adding additional reserves to the Unit.Austin Chalk/ Eagle Ford Development Team• Mapped lower Austin Chalk across NE part of the Giddings Field. Evaluation provided participate/non-consent recommendations for APAs position with Non-Op JV partner EnerVest.

My internship project at Apache Corporation focused on unconventional reservoir exploration. Focused on the East Texas Basin, I correlated many well logs picking formation tops using Petra, analyzed mud logs, and incorporated basin modeling using Trinity & Genesis. I also had the opportunity to travel to the Bureau of Economic Geology at UT Austin to collect core/cuttings to later have them analyzed. I finished my internship with a presentation of the regional analysis to management, along with further recommendations.
