Currently, I oversee the plant operations for an international leader in aggregate construction materials, ready-mixed, decorative, and high-performance concrete. Prairie Materials partnered with Votorantim Cimentos North America (VCNA) in 2008. You could say, I am involved in almost all facets of the Central Illinois facility, these roles include: Responsible for personnel, safety, maintenance, production efficiency, and product quality for current and upcoming projects. Review and monitor trends in competition and pricing structures.Manage employees to ensure the safest and most efficient use of personnel are used to complete all required tasks while adhering to all applicable company policies and procedures.Partner with human resources personnel to hire, train, onboard, new hires and when necessary, terminate employees. Review key customer orders and deliveries daily utilizing dispatch system software to ensure delivery schedules and production efficiency are met. Comply with city, state, and federal regulations to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained adequately through preventative and proactive maintenance.Supervise the daily operations of three Peoria area plants. Ensure a safe working environment by example, listening to employee feedback, and being observant of potential safety hazards.Schedule and work with personnel for preventive maintenance and repairs of each plant. Submit price quotes and collaborated with customers on area projects. Responded to customer concerns and complaints regarding quality and service issues.Compose and submit mix designs and accompanying material performance data and certificates on awarded projects. Communicate with the Illinois Department of Transportation (Dist.4) to ensure the compliance of these services.Oversee daily quality control and assurances and collaborated with the Central IL Regional Technical Service manager to troubleshoot issues and improve the quality of products.

Dispatched and scheduled drivers and incoming material. Processed customer orders and entered them into the computer system. Batched concrete into ready-mix trucks to coincide with scheduled and nonscheduled plant maintenance. Formerly Construction Material Company who was bought by Prairie Materials in 1997.
