Responsible for overseeing all operational decisions regarding truck purchasing, leasing, and multiple terminal management. Hiring of drivers, dock staff, office staff, sales team, and all operational managers. Oversaw all management of Safety, HR, dispatch and third-shift loading dock operation.Involved in all corporate financial decisions including banking, outside accounting firm, insurance, pay scale and employee benefits. Hands-on and face-to-face approach with key accounts and large prospects by insuring the execution of service agreements, customizing deliverables to add value & grow revenues and being the main contact for client services. I targeted, landed, and owned Fortune 500 accounts. Some of them include Cardinal Health, Target Stores, Snap-on Tool, and Harte-Hanks. Grew the company from a 1-terminal operation with annual sales of $5M to an 8-terminal operation across six Midwest states doing $35M in annual revenue.Involved in all hiring of sales staff. Hands-on approach with EFS sales team (4-10 staff) through weekly sales meetings covering service issues with current customers and pipeline opportunities. Thoroughly enjoyed working with energetic sales team. Personal highlight was a 10-year operations period where EFS did not lost a single account due to a service failure. In August of 2012, I sold my EFS stock to a company on the New York Stock Exchange. The acquiring company asked me to stay on as a Sales Representative for a 3-year period.
