• The Procurement Specialist role is responsible for establishing the procurement activities relative to the existing, renewal, and new master agreements and SOWs from many vendors and our outsourcing partners. • In addition, this role will support the governance of the outsourcing contracts both across programs and across vendors to ensure that our partnerships are successful. • The Procurement Specialist worked with large IT HW/SW vendors like external vendors, outsourced partners, Business owners and leads (Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, etc.) and Program/Project Managers from the True Value company's IT department to make the best HW/SW/Services purchasing decisions via MSA, SOW, RFP’s etc. • The Contract Specialist reviewed and redlined contracts and created RFQ's/RFP's working with the IT department. Under the strategic plan, IT has a substantial number of programs supporting critical initiatives for the company. • Delivered on initiatives, the Procurement Specialist negotiated and executed on several medium to large scale procurement contracts and continued to govern contracts for substantial sourcing partnerships.
