This role covers all aspects of the environmental impact and management of the telecoms work we do within BT at our Telephone Exchanges. This includes the management of products and waste and advice on the storage and transportation of waste.I also work closely with power engineers across the South West covering the electrical competence including their safety, training and assessing their work and knowledge.I cover the Authorising Engineer High Voltage for the South West and South Wales areas, managing a number of buildings with HV switchgear and transformers. This includes maintenance, switching and training on all aspects of HV within BT. I am the National lead for BT on aspects of HV.I have had extensive electrical, health & safety and environmental training to be able to complete this role within BTSome of the training includes Legionella Responsible Persons, NCRQ safety for managers, NEBOSH Environmental and General certificates, Various HV related training. I was manager to teams of power engineers in the South West this came with the responsibility for the power networks and delivering service. Also managing the radio engineers for the South West area core network and infrastructure. Maintaining health and safety and improving engagement and service delivery through results and development.Whilst I have a clear understanding the regulations and compliance required for the Radio & Power teams and network.
