Having joined Tank as a digital executive, I progressed to Head of Content, where my responsibilities and core skills included strategic delivery and account direction across SEO, digital advertising and marketing, digital PR, PR, and social media campaigns – for Tank's whole client base.During an incredible 5+ years, I was a trusted marketing partner for a broad mix of B2B and B2C brands, including The Access Group, Miller Homes, YorkTest and Versaclimber UK, and many more.Combining strategic consultancy and training, I became a genuine client consultant and partner, capable of delivering and exceeding their needs while challenging where appropriate.I was (and remain) a proactive project manager, but also a firefighter when needed. Professional, calm, organised and sociable, while also a frequently called upon ‘ideas person’, with original and considered strategic and creative ideas.I managed client budgets, handled new business enquiries, negotiated new project fees and cash flow management, as well as briefing work to our sister design agency and external suppliers.Standout highlights from my time at Tank include:• 50% increase in YOY website traffic for a highly regarded fitness brand.• 79% increase in YOY referral traffic from social media for the same brand.• Project managed the 20% increase in organic website traffic for a travel client, including the direct ideation, planning and implementation for a PR campaign that resulted in a record-breaking number of website visitors on a single day.• Directed the team to achieve a 41% increase in organic traffic for a challenging B2B manufacturing client.• 194% average increase in social media impressions for an event and street food brand – all while closed – during the first three months of 2021 (compared to the same period in 2020).• 150+ links achieved for a major UK national housebuilder – over 12 months.

Working directly with the Head of Creative and Managing Director, I devised, developed and implemented an internal content marketing plan as part of a strategic approach to generating greater brand awareness and new business.In addition, I supported the internal creative and client services teams to leverage strategic opportunities for our existing clients, including Unilever, Beiersdorf, Bayer and Diageo.

Leading the client services department at Origination, I oversaw all creative and marketing projects for a diverse range of B2B, B2C and public sector clients. The projects I managed were varied and exciting, including graphic design, branding, film, animation, web design, strategy and campaigns. This involved working closely with design, web and production colleagues, and where required, external partners.I maintained effective, positive and profitable relationships through focus and professionalism, as well as maintaining a sense of humour and adopting my own personal style – combining all these to inform and persuade. I always sought to motivate the team, creating a professional yet enjoyable working environment, fully involving myself in the creative and strategic process. In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities, and in my own time, I established and developed Origination’s social media and digital marketing presence. I brought together a team to support me in this endeavour, ensuring Origination’s blog delivered interesting and engaging content.Origination's clients included Manchester Airport, Derbyshire County Cricket Club, epm:technology, East Midlands Airport, Derbyshire County Council, Morecrofts Electrical, Stansted Airport, Middlesbrough Football Club, Derby Grammar School, D2N2 and Colorado Rapids

Managing a diverse range of exciting and interesting clients, I delivered projects that expanded and evolved their brands. From sports, communications, high-performance engineering and education (to name just a few) - I focused my efforts on building effective and positive relationships with all my clients. The work involves day-today account management, managing digital and offline projects, as well as considering long-term strategy.

This year long work placement at Miller Homes was defined by two projects. The first was a major review of the company’s National Sales Specification in comparison to eight of its main competitors. This research led to a significant change in Miller’s sales specification at a saving of £2,000 per house, without devaluing the product, and delivering annualised savings of £8 million. The second project was a review of East Midlands' Internal Communication. My main aim was to understand the underlying issues that previously caused a breakdown in internal communication and present them together with my recommendations for improvement.
