My role is very varied in it’s nature, however, the main mission for me is ultimately to create world class group exercise experiences for our members, and ensure that this happens every single time! Currently I lead the creation and ongoing management of our Boxing group exercise products. Some of my day to day involves the following:- Ensuring that our products receive great member feedback on the app, and driving as many as possible to try out (and keep coming back to) our classes and increase our occupancy levels. - Addressing all boxing related feedback from our members and ensuring that all actionable points are dealt with. - Creation of various boxing group exercise products. - Managing the rollout/implementation process of these products when they arrive at our clubs. - Creation of educational material for current and prospective coaches. - Building relationships between the product team and our club teams (such as General Managers) to ensure easy collaboration. - Delivery of educational seminars to current and prospective coaches at our Academy. Some highlights for me include:- Consistently happy members, with an app rating of 4.93 out of 5 across our boxing products this year. - Project managing and delivering our Charity Boxing offering, ‘Contender Boxing’, which has raised upwards of £20K so far. - Managing a global trial of wearable boxing technology in our group exercise setting. - Delivering a webinar, ‘S&C in Combat Sports; A practical approach’ for PTs across the Virgin Active estate.

Under the guidance of extremely experienced elite Strength & Conditioning Coaches.• Observing and assisting with the coaching and testing of elite boxers, volleyball, basketball, andfootball athletes, amongst many other sports.• Gaining exposure in an elite performance environment with various BUCS University level teamsand an elite Women’s football academy.• Regular CPD on topics such as Plyometrics, programming, LTAD etc.• Weightlifting Coaching development undertaken – mainly focused on Snatch and Cleanderivatives.

Strength and Conditioning internship under Strength and Conditioning Director, Duncan Ogilvie, and other UKSCA Accredited coaches.Exposure to S&C support for elite athlete scholars across various university sports, as well as a host of professional boxers and footballers, who used the facility to supplment their club S&C or whilst during a return to play injury rehabilitation phase.
