As part of my role with Northumbria University, I worked with the university to give them a strategic perspective on identifying students for their programmes, advising on how the university could be embedded into talent development pathways. I was involved in the logistics of talented athlete management, including creating a team of mentors, advisors and lifestyle supports.Some of my key achievements from this role include:►Designed and implemented an athlete talent identification system at a national and international level►Critically assessed the university sport programme and ensured that available resources were focused on high performance areas, contributing to an 18% increase in BUCS points in 1 year►Led on the recruitment of athletes into the university’s performance sport programmes, including the allocation of the sport scholarship budget, which amounted to £400,000►Developed critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working across faculties to form collaborative partnerships and build talent pathways

As a project manager, I oversaw the TASS Project Centre activity across the UK and European networks as well as related budgets of approximately £100,000Some of my key achievements include:►Managed TASS financials and involvement across research and governance projects, engagement events and practitioner development workshops►Provided significant input into the coordination and development of strategy and plans as well as the analysis of performance data to support decision-making►Secured project funding from the European Commission to undertake a €300,000 project to establish a partnership network of EU organisations to support students athletes.

Within this role, I worked as part of the athlete investment team to manage the lottery funding for elite Olympic and Paralympic athletesSome key achievements include:►Oversaw a £5 million investment for over 400 athletes from a portfolio of 20 sports and monitored related budgets►Analysed performance information relating to athletes on the world class programme►Generated and continuously improved athlete policies, systems and processes
