David G. Peterson is a member of Reinhart's Litigation Practice Group in the Waukesha and Milwaukee offices. His practice includes representing clients in disputes involving commercial litigation, environmental remediation, and products liability. David has significant trial experience, as well as extensive experience in mediation and arbitration. David is listed in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers 2007 through current editions, as well as the 2008 through current editions of Benchmark: Litigation “American’s Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys.” David is admitted to practice before the United States Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Judicial Circuits. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association and the Thomas E. Fairchild American Inns of Court. David is President of the Milwaukee Bar Association and is on its on the Board of Directors. He also is on the Board of Directors of the Potawatomi Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and holds the officer position of Legal Counsel. For more than 19 years David has been involved with Make A Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, and served on its Board of Directors as Vice-Chair and VP-Legal. David is the former President of the Milwaukee Alumni Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity. David completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting, with honors. Before going to law school, David was an accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick’s Milwaukee office, splitting time in both its audit and tax departments. He graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was selected to the Order of the Coif. After law school, David served as a Clerk to the Honorable Justice Louis J.
