Provide leadership in the execution of a one year pilot project to assess infrastructure and essential public services conditions in Southern Syria. Based on assessment results the project will implement limited interventions and advocate for international donor funding to restore critical infrastructure and perform essential services. Responsibilities include developing and updating engineering assessment plans, devising intervention strategies based on a difficult political, humanitarian and security environment, managing software and database systems teams to deliver state of the art technology support and providing senior leadership to the project team. Coordination with governments, international humanitarian organizations and Syrian entities is a critical component of this position. Supervisory duties include management of engineering teams, including field and office engineering staff members, finance, logistics and human resources teams. Duties require preparing proposals and contracts, developing budgets and work plans and supervising project administration.
