Headquartered in Galway and founded in 2019 Global Heart Hub is the first global non-profit organisation established to provide a voice for those affected by cardiovascular disease. We are an alliance of heart patient organisations, aiming to create a unified global voice for those living with or affected by heart disease.Our aim is to unite patient groups from every country in the world under the umbrella of the Global Heart Hub. Our combined mission is to raise awareness of heart disease and the challenges it presents in everyday life. The Global Heart Hub is a platform for heart patient organisations to share their views, learn from each other’s best practice, unite on common advocacy goals, and share resources. Galway GC is one of the West of Irelands premier parkland golf courses and caters for the largest membership on the western seaboard (approx. 1,600 members). The Club incorporates circa 100 acres overlooking Galway Bay. As General Manager I oversaw all aspects of the Clubs operations including operational strategy, leadership, personnel, compliance, governance, financial planning, member recruitment retention, satisfaction and marketing & maximization of all commercial activities for the members / shareholders.During this period I was a member of the Board of the Irish Golf & Club Managers Association for 2 and a half years and was the Incoming National President for 2022

General Manager @ the 4* Westwood Hotel, Galway City. Overall responsibility for day to day operations and strategic planning and implementation.

Orginally employed as consultant for the hotel opening for a period of 6 months prior to launch. Subsequently employed as General Manager for a period or circa 3 years. Kingsvalley was located close to the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and was heavily food and beverage orientated with three bars, dining for circa 150 persons, live music venue and guest bedrooms

Employed originally and Conference & Banqueting Manager for the new opening. Subsequently held position of sales & marketing manager and Deputy General Manager. Returned to hotel in 2006 to take up the position of General Manager.

Conference & Banqueting Manager - Responsibility for day to day running of Conference & Banqueting Dept. at this 4* 98 bedroomed hotel.

College Placement during which time I covered Night Duties.

Various Summer Employments & 1 year full time in a number of roles including waiting staff, bar staff & commis chef.
