A motivated & experienced Manager with a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Leadership, Strategy, Stakeholder & Team Management.Β In various roles in industry I have demonstrated the ability to build strong relationships. I have experience in initiating, developing & implementing strategic projects. Having undergone my 2nd open heart surgery in 2021 I became acutely aware of the importance of the patient voice in all aspects of the healthcare landscape. My experience was a largely positive one embedded in shared decision making with my cardiothoracic surgeon but I am conscious that this is not the case for so many. Through the above I came to work with the great team of professionals @ Global Heart Hub. GHH is the first global non-profit organisation established to provide a voice for those affected by cardiovascular disease. We are an alliance of heart patient organisations, aiming to create a unified global voice for those living with or affected by heart disease. Our combined mission is to raise awareness of heart disease and the challenges it presents in everyday life. The Global Heart Hub is a platform for heart patient organisations to share their views, learn from each otherβs best practice, unite on common advocacy goals, and share resources. We aim to increase awareness and understanding of the many heart conditions that exist, improve patient outcomes, enhance quality of life, and optimise longevity and healthy aging.βIn a voluntary capacity I act as Chair of Heart & Stroke Voice Ireland group. HSVI is a patient/survivor and carer led alliance of those living with or affected by heart conditions and stroke in Ireland. It has formed under the auspices of CroΓ (www.croi.ie) to provide a platform for the patient and carer voice and also to inform and support CroΓβs national heart and stroke advocacy agenda (www.heartandstrokevoice.ie) I am a EUPATI Patient Expert fellow since October 2024
