At Lootens Law Group, my practice is dedicated to navigating complex legal landscapes within the energy, communications, and public utility sectors. For the past 8 years I have focused on advising clients in these industries on a wide range of matters including regulatory proceedings and compliance, legislative strategy, land use and environmental permitting, transactions, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining the firm, I represented developers, contractors, landowners, and other clients in the energy, communications, and public utility industries, in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, as an advocate for agency approvals, and providing advice on matters related to regulatory compliance, transactions, environmental matters, legislation, and policy issues.Prior to and while attending law school, I spent over a decade in engineering, operations, and marketing roles in the communications and technology sector, most recently as a product manager with Hawaii’s largest communications provider. I am also a veteran of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom where I served aboard the USS O’Kane (DDG-77) as a Fire Controlman in the U.S. Navy.
