Managed quality control operations during electrical construction of 6 story, 1.5 million square foot Transbay Transit Center, including startup and commissioning of electrical systems, inspections with multiple Authorities, oversight of corrective actions and repairs, coordination and approval of submittal and RFI processes, auditing specification compliance, Quality Assurance oversight of multiple internal subcontractors, and coordination between other contractors’ quality control and quality assurance departments. Collaborated daily with project superintendent and general foremen to review building progress, review issues impacting field operations, and work with Webcor superintendents to resolve problems before they impacted electrical work.

Guam

Construction of substation / utility upgrade and construction at Apra Harbor, Naval Base Guam. Work included construction of 7 new substations new fuel, compressed air and water pumping stations, upgrades and modifications to remote power stations, replacement of lighting systems for 1.2 miles of pier, a new visitors’ center, and expansion of generating station substation system, including main transformers and switchgear. Also oversaw construction of 26 unit housing project at North Tipalao, Naval Base Guam, including utility feeds and area infrastructure. Project involved erection of 13 poured-in-place concrete duplex structures.

Las Vegas, Nevada Area

Managed electrical construction of 50 story 4004 room Aria casino resort hotel project, including budget generation, scheduling, cost analysis, labor control, change order estimating, material acquisition, quality control, and design coordination for City Center project, the largest privately funded construction project in US history. Directed Quality Control team auditing construction for all projects in Las Vegas division, including construction quality control, coordination with other QA / QC team leaders, material acquisition, and design coordination, as well as project-wide quality control management for City Center, Aria Tower, Podium, Convention Center, Showroom and Site Utilities, Turnberry IV, Trump Tower, Palms Fantasy Tower, Marriott Grand Chateau I & II, Southern Nevada Regional Justice Center, UBC Education Center, and Wynn Encore. Implemented CPM scheduling, incorporating manpower, material, and equipment loading to coordinate planning with field supervision.

Las Vegas, Nevada Area

Directed electrical construction of 2537 room Aladdin Hotel, including design assist, field construction, budgeting, billing, and labor analysis, to exceed project revenue goals. Oversaw fire alarm system installation and certification for complete project, including hotel, casino, and 1.2 mile long shopping mall. Administered Aladdin project contract claim litigation, including archive preparation,document review, attorney negotiations, and mediation. Managed construction, scheduling and billing of multiple projects in the Las Vegas division, including Desert Passage Mall, Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas Visitor’s Convention Center Expansion, and Black Mountain Co-Gen Station.
