Director of Supply Chain Management / Director of Aviation Materials Management ServicesI was a member of the acquisition and turn-a-round team for a company recently purchased in a leveraged buy out. All the Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory / Materials Management, Import / Export, Distribution, Demand / Forecasting, and Transportation management ans systems were kept by the selling corporation. I managed the development of all these entities from nothing into fully functioning. Results included: developed Forecasting / Demand group with accuracy in the upper 80% within 4 months (over 90% within 12 months), decreased transportation costs by over 50% (saving over $2 million annually), reduced average inventory on hand by over 35% ($3+ million reduction), savings in cost of purchased materials over $4.5 million annually, initiated Sales & Operations Planning with remarkable success, improved On-Time Delivery (part of a group effort) from 30% to 97% in four months. All of this was accomplished while the company increased sales / production volume by over 20%. I also started the Aviation Materials Management Services (AMMS) division dedicated to Advanced Planning Services (APS) for Aerospace customers for difficult to locate materials and ongoing materials management programs. This new division was profitable within 40 days! The success was partially due to the use Continuous Improvement methods never applied before in this arena. AMMS division doubled TOTAL company profits in first 6 months.

Redeveloped the Materials and Logistics for Textron-DIP North America (now referred to as Supply Chain). Reduced transportation costs by over $6 Million annually, reduced Inventory Carrying Costs by $20 Million annually, and eliminated stock-outs while increasing on-time delivery to customers.

Took this company from break-even to extremely profitable and then managed the sale and transition to new owners.

Managed all manufacturing operations, procurement, materials, new product development, and logistics. Took this Division from $5 Million loss to $28 Million profit in less than 2 years.
