• Operate nuclear power reactor in accordance with Navy policy and procedures• Adjust controls to position rod and to regulate flux level, reactor period, coolant temperature, or rate of power• Develop or implement actions such as lockouts, tag outs, or clearance to allow equipment to be safely repaired• Respond to system or unit abnormalities, diagnosing the cause, and recommending or taking corrective action• Operate and provide maintenance on the reactor during multiple deployments on a Naval Submarine• Conduct and evaluate training events to maintain proficiency and correct deficiencies

As one of the Training Specialists for the Quality Assurance group at Intermediate Maintenance Facility I conducted initial and continuing training for employees. I am responsible for maintaining training curriculum up to date, keeping in line with the most recent industry standards and tenants of Instructional Systems Design. I present information, evaluate student performance and recommend actions to correct negative performance. Students were Craftsman, Inventory Managers, Supervisors and Inspectors.
