Started in Carroll & Kinsella motor group in 1997, served my time and qualified as a mechanic in 2001. Worked there untill 2004. Went travelling for a year. On returning, in 2006 took up position of head mechanic in Michael Lyng motors untill 2016. As well as being master technician, I also learned the runnings of the parts and service departments from a non workshop side of things. Won Master Technician of the Year Award in 2009 for Hyundai. Currently working in Avon motors in Rathdrum as master technician. After a couple of months my position has now evolved into service manager/advisor as well as looking after warranty with technician and workshop development in the forefront also.
