My interest in all things automotive, drove me to pursue an apprenticeship later in life than most. Although I started later, I progressed fairly quickly from apprentice to senior diagnostic technician.Once I had achieved the role of senior diagnostic technician, running my own section and workflow including booking management, I realised the next step I wanted to take was customer facing.This lead me to be a fill in service advisor for roughly twelve months, in this time I spent very little time on the tools and bounced between two dealerships servicing 6 marquees in total.During this time I came to find I was quite comfortable in the office, despite not having KPI requirements, I enjoyed meeting the targets my colleagues had. As a result was asked to become a permanent fixture, since then I have further honed my skillset with a focus on both revenue raising and ensuring a wonderful experience for every customer through the door.My current goal is to seek further career growth, with advancement into an assistant manager role and eventually a service manager position, being long term targets.
