I am CEO of Ocean Resource Ltd and have worked in the offshore industry for over 30 years having been involved at high level in a wide range of ground-breaking offshore innovative projects for Exxon Mobil, Shell, Kvaerner, Statoil, BP, Dresser Kellogg, Woodside and other Global Oil & Gas clients. I am a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and have also completed a Second Mate's Certificate of Competency at sea, giving me an in-depth insight into marine operations offshore.I have been responsible for developing many highly innovative solutions for Marginal or Remote Field Oil and Gas Production, including shallow water platforms, offshore control buoys, offshore surveillance systems and enhanced oil recovery techniques. I currently hold around 40 patents relating to offshore resources development. In particular I invented and developed the autonomous production buoy concept for remote autonomous production which is creating great interest in the offshore oil industry at this time and has application in both Enhanced Oil Recovery allied to large scale carbon sequestration.In addition to my innovations in the oil industry myself and my company, Ocean Resource have been working at the forefront of new technologies in Offshore Wind and Offshore Wave/Tidal Power.
