Taken on as a contractor to help out in a project which was 20" duplex pipe work .Also did some fabrication work ( Hand rails etc ) as well as working on heavy wall carbon pipe with the subarc. Helped the pipe fitters set up some.suppotrts got practice using the plasma cutter.

I enjoyed learning new skills whilst working as part of a good team.Working in the timber systems division I was trained in making external and internal wall panels.I was also trained in using some of the computer controlled saws in the machine shop. worked in the pre assembly also unassisted working from CAD drawings.

Employed as a coded pipe welder I passed 6g codings in carbon steel TIG - FCAW - MMA a i was also coded for submerged arc welding 6"xxs carbon steel. I'm experienced in performing weld repairs and reading radiography graphs. Welding of structural steel when required.

I was employed as a coded welder and had three different codings in carbon pipe shop. TIG , MIG and Subarc. As well as working in the carbon shop I did a couple of exotic codings, in super duplex and inconel.I also did some fabrication work here. factory closed down in the end.

I was primarily employed as a welder at yardbury, however I would get involved in the test and assembly side when required. Also did a reasonable amount of fabrication here as well .Gained valuable knowelge of subsea equipment eg , BOP'S Risers , Valves etc I was also required to work on site on occasions where it was mostly to weld large diameter riser pipeline. During this employment I learned about pressure testing and post weld heat treatment.
