I update and maintain test systems. I create new test algorithms . I work on new RF products being released to the Manufacturing floor. I train technicians on troubleshooting/ data analysis on the floor.I have also taken a broader perspective for support: I have created a new test station documentation method greatly reducing redundancy of documents , also reducing time and mistakes. this has been rolled out to the entire test engineering group for use. I have created a unique web based "debug dashboard" that incorporates management communication, debug information unique to the unit being worked on, and pass down information unique to each unit . this is being rolled out world wide.

I continued the work I was doing as a staff technician and I began taking more of a individual contributor role to the support of Manufacturing . I had less oversight and more freedom to implement changes needed. I also began to work more with NPI taking a proactive role to releasing product to the floor.

for the first nine months I worked on the floor as an RF repair technician. I demonstrated my skill sets for algorithms and test improvement which got me moved up to Test Engineering after being on the MFG floor for 9 months. in the last two months on the floor I was moved to each area of the floor that had trouble . I was asked to identify and fix the issues if possible. Of these areas I worked in DMMs, and C RIO lines. I found the issues and fixed them. Once I moved to Test Engineering I spent the next about 4 years working on Test Procedures, Test station design, Documentation control, sustaining of old products, I fixed test code issues , generally support role for the floor so that the Test Engineers could focus more on new product introduction.

I was responsible for finding root cause of failures returned from the field. I created an automated sequence of tests that checked all functionality of product while in operation mode. This test sequence was unique since the MFG floor tested units primarily in debug mode and was not able to see some of the failures reported. This sequence reduced root cause analysis time per unit greatly and gave much more accurate feedback to engineering for long term fixes. I was then responsible for supporting this trouble shooting tool out in the field.

I was responsible for tap and house repair / troubleshooting, along with house installs. As part of my duties I was to locate and fix signal leaks that I would find using a "detector" . I had created a small antenna that helped me to find signal leaks throughout San Antonio.

I have experience working in the following areas:Wet etch : handled the chemical bath systems and performed preventative and corrective maintenance .Dry etch : worked on HiVAC , Hi power RF systems, and Robotics of the applied 5000 reactors. Diffusion: Worked on Thermco horizontal tubes, and Kokusi vertical tubes. I also maintained the LPCVD systems in this area including the HiVac pumps.Reactors: I maintained the reactor systems including the beam line control systems.I maintained and repaired the diffusion pumps, cryo pump systems, and typical blower pumps. I was on the ERT ( Emergency Response Team) and was trained in HAZMAT response.
