IT Service Desk Manager providing support for a Queensland based retail bank and head office staff based in Bundaberg. The role includes first-line support for branch staff using bespoke banking systems alongside Microsoft Office in a Citrix Desktop Environment. Responsibilites include first-level support of all IT systems deployed in head office and the branch network, User Account Management, purchasing and deployment of hardware in newly renovated branches, tactical development using SharePoint for rapidly changing business processes, providing support across all key business functions such as Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations. My main focus has been ensuring that all business units and staff have one key point of contact for any IT services and ensuring that all of their requests are fulfilled and given a successful resolution.

IT Service Desk Manager leading a team of 4 technicians with responsibility for supporting staff and students at Shalom College and 3 Catholic primary schools in Bundaberg. The role involves a wide variety of end-user device support from iPads to Corporate and BYO Windows devices as well as hands-on technical work administering a large number of Windows servers in an Active Directory Environment.Through positive engagement with key stakeholders I was able to quickly identify the crucial times of the school year and provide the relevant priority of systems support during the teaching day. In a high-volume user environment developing efficient processes and systems is essential to cope with the peak times of demand.The department had recently introduced an ITIL compliant Service Desk product (Manage Engine) and were working to adapt many of their procedures to be ITIL compliant. I drew on my prior experience of ITSM and to develop a more Service Oriented approach to various aspect of the role including a new user administration, staff and student induction processes and student device servicing.

Support Team Manager/ Business & Systems Analysis/ Project ManagerBased in the Sydney office of a large international investment bank, I was part of an IT team responsible for the support and development of systems used by the front- and middle-office OTC Derivatives Trading business.My initial role was application support and development for a number of in-house and vendor systems. My previous role with Lehman had given me 5 years of development and support experience of a major OTC Derivatives trading system. I was then responsible for recruiting, training and mentoring a number of graduates over the first few years to build the local team.Many of the systems were developed in London but used globally and required adaptation for the local market. I was responsible for communicating system changes to the local users, analysing their needs and proposing system changes to the development teams.I then moved into a project management role working on projects driven both by the local business requirements and global system upgrades. This also included hardware capacity management based on analysing local business volumes and new trading areas.For my last year I was seconded to the Tokyo office where I was performing the analysis and rollout of a major upgrade to the trading system used by Tokyo based clients.

Developer/ Technical Team LeadI started on a 2 year graduate training program as part of a technical team aligned to a critical business unit. My roles included software development and technical support of all in-house and vendor systems used by Lehman Brothers European Treasury department. My main area of expertise was an OTC Derivatives trading system called Summit which was used by trading-floor and middle-office staff. The system had a large number of critical day-to-day settlement processes and overnight batch processing which interfaced with nearly every other team within the bank. Support was 24x7 and involved a lot of hands-on development and interaction with the business users.I was then promoted to lead the support and development team where I was responsible for resource allocation, project tracking and reporting, ensuring change management procedures were adhered to, recruitment and training of team members, hardware purchasing, capacity management and disaster recovery. I became the key point of contact for a large business division, ensuring their business and support requirements were met by my team. This also included relationship management with other business units and IT teams and external vendors.
