David started in the construction industry in 1976 by manually installing concrete foundations, learning to be a mason, pouring and finishing concrete slabs, patios, wood framing, and drywall work along with his brother/partner, Robert Cox. He and Robert received their contracting license in 1980, and continued to learn the manual part of construction as well as the management, sales, and estimating part. They operated the business in Chattanooga until 1990, then moved the main office to Knoxville in 1990 and have done many signature projects over the past 24 years.They are a family owned business, where there sons Jason, Shane, Ross, Logan, and Josh Cox have learned construction and worked along with their fathers from early ages.
