I work within a department that focuses mainly on registering conference attendees. Because CHI produces over 120 events each year, our department's goal is to provide the best possible service to each and every person who inquires about an event - whether they are able to attend or not. In addition, we are responsible for handling group registrations for CHI. Many of the companies we work with are able to reduce the cost of sending staff to our events. Some companies may be unaware of promotions that might be available, while other companies may be unaware of our group pricing and how it works. I like to encourage everyone within the life science industry to attend at least one of our events. I always enjoy listening to stories from attendees who were grateful they did attend.

In my role at Insight Pharma Reports, a division of CHI, I worked with a wide array of customers, including librarians, senior level executives, information specialists, research scientists, academics and investors. I provided corporate subscriptions to business intelligence, technology and pipeline assessment reports.

My role at NMHCC included registering attendees for various events related to managed care. During the few years I was involved in the industry, I not only had an opportunity to learn from various thoughts leaders, but I was able to develop a better understanding of managed care.

I was originally hired for a lead generating initiative for the outside loan officers, but quickly moved into being a loan officer. I originated home equity loans through the corporate headquarters and primary mortgages through one of the satellite branches - toggling between two locations.

I originated loans through a subsidiary of Huntington National Bank. The loans I originated were mostly for the refinance of residential properties. Because of my in-depth knowledge of the various products, as well as the excellent service I provided to each customer, I became a top producer and also received a President's Club Award in 1994. I also provided reports to my supervisor on performance related to the team efforts - specifically related to a credit card initiative. Later in 1994, the bank made a strategic decision to close down the subsidiary and focus on other areas of the country.
