I worked on the construction of the undulators, performed simulations of the magnets, and measured/ tuned the undulator's magnetic field profile.Ultrafast Electron Microscopy:Designed and assembled parts of UCLA's PEGASUS beamline as well as performed optic simulations in Python and permanent magnet quadrupoles (PMQ) simulations in Mathematica. Pulsewire Experiment:Measured and recorded oscilloscope readings of an oscillating electrically charged wire threaded through a magnetic lens and analyzed the data in Python to gauge the misalignment of an electron beam.

Principal Investigator: Dr. Franklin DollarGraduate Student Mentor: Matthew Stanfield Self Phase Modulation Dispersion Scans:Built and trained a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for analyzing self-phase modulation scans to determine the pulse duration of a femtosecond laser. Programmed a bash script to generate tens of thousands of non-linear physics simulations on UCI's supercomputing cluster, Green Planet, for the training data set.
