David is a broadband evangelist and industry thought leader. Given the increasing pace of change in technology and internet-based commerce, access to anything other than 300 Mbps of connectivity to the internet is the equivalent of a party line phone system of the 1930s and 40s. Although internet access is acceptable in most urban areas, internet service is spotty at best in rural markets. The Federal Communications Commission estimates over 14 million with no broadband access. Broadband Communities Magazine estimates closer to 16 million. This “broadband inequity,” driven by commercial and political interests, is reshaping reality and disenfranchising millions of Americans. Coupled with the emergence of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are indeed living in a new and rapidly evolving reality
