My day to day role is that of the maintenance coordinator, I built weekly /biweekly and turnaround schedules for maintenance and operations plus developed the scope for monthly pm days.lead the planning meetings, constantly combing the maintenance backlogs, searching for opportunities to get an edge on minimizing maintenance downtime. I coordinated regular maintenance meetings between operations, engineering and maintenance,as well as other divisions and support trades across Teck property, trying to establish best opportunities to maximize our downtime.Within Teck I was in the fertiliser division, where we produced multiple products including, fertilizer, ammonia, acids and germanium, well we maintain the steam plant to support the other areas in the Trail operation.

Front line leader, supervising millwrights, instrumentation, electricians, and preventative maintenance technicians. Responsible for radiation monitoring equipment, fire alarm systems, Nuclear reactor control computers. Spent some time working with thermography and motor testing teams, as well as the vibration analysis team. We implemented and executed plant oil sampling work as well as developing the procedure associated with the tasks.I spent almost 2 years with the nuclear fuel maintenance team and the fuelling machine head overhaul team. A great deal of time was spent on observations and coaching alongside the maintenance craft, working to eliminate human performance errors, and ensure we utilized the proper procedures for the work.
