The Academic Instructor maintains a positive learning environment, adopting secure classroom management practices, and develops level appropriate lesson plans. -Prepare course objectives following curriculum standards and applicable requirements by contract-Plan a program of study, lesson plans, assignments, and tests under general supervision.-Provides instruction using course outline, handouts and texts, audiovisual aids and other materials.-Administer tests to evaluate students' progress and competency with subject matter.-Assist students with individualized instruction as needed.

The Warehouse/Commissary Worker assists with all aspects of the warehouse and/or commissary functions, to include working with and directing teams of inmate/resident workers. Receives, stores and inventories stock, supplies and equipment utilized in the on-going operation of the commissary and for general facility operations.-Under the direction of the supervisor, performs accurate and timely receipt, routing and storage of goods and cleaning chemicals received in accordance with appropriate sanitation standards and applicable codes. -Prepares materials for shipment, as required.-Conducts commissary sales transactions, processing inmate/resident order forms, performs data entry, verifies and delivers pulled orders to the appropriate inmate.-Maintains up-to-date facility and warehouse inventories of all furniture, equipment and supplies. --Monitors commissary goods for sale, to sustain minimum and maximum inventory levels as necessary.-Accurately and timely prepares a variety of records and reports as required. Creates and maintains files in an organized manner, to include sorting, labeling, filing and retrieving. Maintains confidentiality and security of records.-Communicates effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, and visitors, particularly in situations requiring tact, diplomacy, understanding, fairness, firmness and good judgment. This includes giving information, instructions and directions in accordance with policy and procedure.-Conducts counts of inmates/residents working in the area, controlling access to equipment and supplies, and controlling the introduction of contraband items into the facility living areas through proper search procedures.-Provides supervision and direction for assigned inmates/residents in the performance of their duties. Escorts inmates/residents or coordinates the movement of inmates/residents to and from different areas.

The Cavalry Scout is the commander's eyes and ears on the battlefield. When information about the enemy is needed, they call on the Scouts. Cavalry Scouts engage the enemy with anti-armor weapons and scout vehicles in the field, track and report enemy movement and activities, and will direct the employment of various weapon systems onto the enemy.Duties performed by Soldiers in this MOS include:Performs duties as a crew member, operates and performs operator maintenance on scout vehicles. Armored Airborne Reconnaissance Vehicle, and Cavalry Fighting Vehicle, crew-served weapons, and communications equipment. Loads, clears, and fires individual and crew-served weapons. Operates and performs operator maintenance on wheeled vehicles. Assists in the recovery of wheeled and tracked vehicles. Secures, prepares and stows ammunition on scout vehicles. Performs mounted and dismounted navigation. Serves as a member of observation and listening post. Gathers and reports information on terrain features and enemy strength, disposition, and equipment. Applies principles of except and evasion. Collects data for the classification of routes, fords, tunnels, and bridges. Performs dismounted patrols Employs principles of cover and concealment and camouflage. Assists with the construction of light field fortifications, laying, and removal of mines, and emplacing demolitions. Performs dismounted patrols. Requests and adjusts indirect fire.Supervises scout vehicle crew, cavalry fighting vehicle crew, and M551A1 crew. Supervises operator maintenance of tracked and wheeled scout vehicles and individual and crew-served weapons. Selects organizes and supervises scout vehicle recovery operations. Trains scout vehicle crew. Supervises request, receipt, storage, and issue of ammunition. Leads scout vehicle crew and assists in leading scout squad. Serves as a gunner, on CFV, ITV, TOW jeep, HMMWV, and M551A1.
