I served as the Manager of Product Management for the BMC Remedy Platform. The BMC Remedy Platform revolves primarily around the BMC Remedy AR System - a service management development platform. In addition, my team managed many of the other technologies used within the BMC Remedy line of products, ensuring that the BMC provided applications had a strong and stable platform upon which to build business value.In this role I:• Met or exceeded the business and financial goals of BMC’s industry leading service support platform with a consistent increase in revenue Year-over-Year taking it from a $70M product to an over $160M product.• Implemented and evangelized suite-based pricing for a $600M business unit, simplifying the sales order process by up to 95% and driving double digit revenue growth• Powered the Remedy On Demand SaaS offering of multi-tenant ITSM solutions in a global cloud• Directly contributed to a satisfaction rating of 98% for the Field Support Center, won the ‘BMC Employee: Beyond the Call of Duty’ award for participation in social media communities and the BMC Star award twice.• Restructured support policies around 3rd party compatibility resulting in savings of $500K annually

I was hired at Configuresoft to bring their award winning Windows Configuration Management software into the UNIX marketplace, broadening its compliance and drift management market. In this position I:- Focused the team to deliver a prototype within 6 months, field testable code 4 months later, and a scheduled first release at the end of 2004.- Created the company’s first PRD that documented in detail the product requirements including attributes to be collected, use cases, new and needed features, market window, and quality metrics- Managed partner based integration projects with Network Management and Operating System vendors to create more complete configuration management solutions for our customer base.

At Phoenix Technologies, well known as a BIOS manufacturer, I served as a Consulting Product Line Manager for Phoenix’s new security software. In this role, I:- Analyzed the product offerings of both competitors and potential partners to determine product strengths and weaknesses as well as market opportunities and threats, primarily in the network security marketplace.- Created and implemented necessary procedures or concepts absent in Phoenix’s current product delivery cycle including maintenance contracts, beta/evaluation program, and field bug tracking.

MobileSys was a startup company of 60 people when I joined and as it grew to over 135 people, I performed a variety of marketing and product management roles which included:- Analyzing emerging wireless technologies such as location based messaging, speech recognition, voice to text, two-way SMS, binary data (ring tones, graphics, etc.), and carrier SMS gateway protocols.- Serving as marketing focal point for a multi-million dollar partnership with Microsoft to enhance their Mobile Information Server and .NET offerings using MobileSys technologies and services.

As the acting Product Line Manager for Nortel Networks' flagship Network Management suite, Optivity, I successfully managed a $30 million business and also:- Took responsibility for a program running 13 months behind schedule and got it back on track for a combined launch with other components in Nortel’s Unified Management strategy.- Consolidated a loose collection of over 20 network management tools into a set of 3 tightly integrated and easy to use applications while actually increasing the number of user requested features overall.- Worked with Customer Service to redefine support contract structures, which increased profits by 215%.
