As most journeys start, mine began with little experience and complete bias. I joined AT&T expecting to fuel my addictions to video games from a young age. What I found instead, was a caring manager that just wanted to see a young man manifest direction in his life. from here, I unfortunately didn't learn this lesson yet. What I did learn was sales and how to deal with customers from the perspective of company policy and daily procedure. After finding this wasn't for me, as agreed by my boss, I moved on to Buc-ees'. Here at this point, I had downgraded my network unknowingly and was in a land of repetitive cleaning and little opportunity for the field I would later learn is the one I was best suited for. After learning about dedication and focus to tasks as well as respect for multiple layers of management, I was then ready for something greater, but not in the small town of Temple. My Father was in the U.S. Navy and a Buddy of his gave me an opportunity as an IT in Dallas. All I needed was to obtain a CompTIA Networking certification. At the time I ignorantly declined this offer, but an idea sparked in me as I took the ASVAB. When I scored high enough for almost any job of my choice, I chose to be in the information field. Fast forward 3 years and some change, and here I am with the knowledge and motivation I need to improve my current situation. I plan to achieve this by seeking tasks to complete, furthering my education in various ways, and eventually networking to ensure a smooth exodus into the competitive civilian software field.
