• Conducting pre-start meeting at the commencement of the shift – ensure team members are aware of current priority, safety matters and have the opportunity to raise matters.• Allocating work to team members based on skills/experience and work priorities.• Liaising with the Greta Yard Controller and Assets Team regarding the movement of locomotives around the yard• Completing and managing required paperwork in MS Team and Maximo for Unit Train Maintenance (UTMs) and Full Inspections (FX)• Completing Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) as required • Providing guidance and support to team members to ensure work is completed in a timely and safe manner• Training and mentoring junior members of the team• Responding to incident on the mainline • Completing shift handovers including all required paperwork

• Carrying out scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance on wagons including;- Conducting inspections of the wagons and identifying repairs or replacements as required. - Replacement of wheels and bogies- Replacement of brake shoes- Testing and replacement of pneumatic and electrically controlled pneumatic (ECP_ as required- Conducting Unit Train Maintenance (UTM)- FX inspections- Driving / shunting locomotives- Entering data into Pacific National’s database, Maximo• Relief Supervisor (as required) • Working onsite at derailments including liaising with the protection officer and organizing contractors as required.• Scheduling and planning maintenance work on wagons• Allocating work for contractors including setting up work orders• Training new wagon maintainers • Breakdown work including fault finding • Conducting risk assessments and completing work in accordance with Safe Work Procedures • Completing inspection reports • Maintaining a safe workplace environment
