Four years later I progressed to Contacts Manager and played a key part in doubling the company’s turnover and winning competitive tenders for large contracts. It also gave me the opportunity to pursue a degree in Management Studies at Brighton University, later complimented by an NVQ5 in Operational Management. In 1995 I was promoted to Director then Managing Director in 1996, which under my guidance saw the company achieve a turnover of almost £6 million per annum, some 1.3 million over target.
