24 years in the IT field with diverse background. Started as a service technician repairing computer hardware. I also worked installing and terminating structured cabling for telecom and networking. Over time I transitioned to a deskside support role supporting customers on a contract basis including the cable television industry, banking, schools and government agencies.I mastered the support of operating systems and support of applications. I started working in a corporate environment at staples providing desktop support to corporate users including large scale software rollouts, operating system migrations, patch management, administration and support of mobile devices. After this role I transitioned into the Global Infrastructure team supporting remote locations including fulfillment centers call centers and remote sales offices across the east coast including eastern canada. It was in this roll I mastered support of warehouse technologies and systems including the design, installation, and support of router and switch configurations, Layer 3 and 2 configurations, and RF networks. I was promoted twice in this role, and was looked to as a mentor to assist in training other engineers on the team when new technologies or standards are to be deployed. With what i had learned In Global Infrastructure team, I moved to the network engineering Team Responsible for engineering, support, and maintenance of the Staples IP network. Provide project support, while working hands-on in all networking activities. Resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a dynamic network infrastructure.
