I currently practice diagnostic medical physics, medical nuclear physics, and health physics at West Physics. I recently obtained board certification from the ABR in Diagnostic Medical Physics as well as the ABMP in Medical Health Physics. I have extensive knowledge and experience in all diagnostic imaging modalities, as well as health physics/radiation safety duties. I am currently MQSA-certified to perform mammography surveys, stereotactic surveys, and tomosynthesis surveys. I have experience on Hologic, GE, and Siemens mammography units, and I am qualified to perform tomosynthesis surveys on each. In addition, I have worked as an Assistant Radiation Safety Officer for both PET and nuclear medicine clients. I am currently eligible for RSO duties in 10 CFR 35.100 and 35.200. I also have knowledge about the Joint Commission, ACR, IAC, and other accrediting body requirements. Before taking my current position, I was the Kansas City Field Office Director. I managed diagnostic imaging physics, and health physics operations for the states of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, and North and South Dakota. Currently, I am the company’s Mobile Field Office Director and Senior Medical Physicist. I managed diagnostic imaging physics, and health physics operations for the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Gulf Coast/Panhandle region of Florida.

After graduate school, I joined West Physics where I was the first resident medical physicist accepted into their program. While a resident, I was an integral part of a team that helped develop the 3-year resident training program for West Physics. The resident training program at West Physics was recently approved by CAMPEP, and is one of only two consulting firms that have the distinction of having a CAMPEP-approved diagnostic medical physics residency program. Before graduating from the residency program, I was involved in a research project in which I helped develop a clinically relevant methodology for testing low-contrast detectability on SPECT-capable nuclear medicine cameras. The research project was presented, via poster, at the 2014 American Association of Physicist in Medicine meeting held in Austin, Texas.
