I was primarily employed to be a Science and Biology teacher. I have since gained experience working as a Y9 Assistant Dean (temporary sick cover) and currently a Y11 Assistant Dean.This role has allowed me to gain experience working with staff who are not necessarily in my Department and has given me more managerial experience. As well as this I have responsibility for the Academic progress for the entire Y11 cohort and their well being. Throughout my time at Sacred Heart I have gained experience organising school trips to various locations within New Zealand and further afield. I have also been given duties managing and organising school teams in various sports (Tennis, Skiing, Hockey, Squash). Professional Development has seen me work with the implementation of iPads to the school, cultural studies, new curriculum development.

This was my first teaching job. The department consisted of 3 members of staff plus one technician. I was part of the forward planning each year. I also taught a variety of levels of both Science and Biology. Whilst in this job I studied with the Open University to allow myself to become trained as Chemistry teacher, which became my sole teaching job in my final year at Castlebrae. Throughout my time at school I was a homeroom teacher which involved me working closely with the Guidance department, I also participated in many extra curricular activities including a trip overseas to Spain for skiing.

This was my first retail job which involved my supervision of other staff. I previously worked for French Connection, Cecil Gee and Woolworths as a retail assistant. The supervisory role included opening and closing of the business, setting staff activities each day, cashing up and being on call should their be any issue overnight with the business.
