Senior Consultant Actuary
Current(OAC Limited rebranded as Broadstone Regulatory & Risk Advisory Limited following the acquisition in 2023.) I have been involved with all aspects of Solvency I and II valuations (assets and liabilities), own risk and solvency assessments (and in their past guises), profitability and pricing calculations, loss assessment calculations (including expert witness cases) and research and communication.In a voluntary capacity, I am the deputy chair of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ working group looking at the effects of climate change on mortality and morbidity. Given the public interest role of the profession, personally, I am hopeful that this objective work can contribute to recognising, informing and mitigating climate change risk. As part of the preparation for Solvency II, I was a member of the Life Solvency II Current Issues Committee. I am responsible for technical research, keeping abreast of technical and other developments, disseminating the knowledge around the firm and to clients.I am also keen to build on my knowledge with recent activities in the areas of data science and data visualisation.
